Summer Days

Our Summer days are winding down, and with only a week and a half left before Stephen goes back to school, we are trying to make the most of every day. Here are some pictures from the splash park and playground in Collierville and from our backyard.

We have also began the potty training adventure with Michael...It has gone well! He has been diaper free during the day for three days and has only had a few accidents. He is still in a pull-up at night and we haven't had success with #2 in the potty yet! We have a ways to go, but feel like he has done really well so far.

ABC's

Seriously, could this be any cuter?! I LOVE the ABC's...esp. the "l m n o p" part!

Fourth of July and the Red Truck

Our Fourth of July weekend began Thursday when we welcomed Daddy home at the airport! After six weeks, Stephen is home and has completed Officer Training School! We now have the rest of the Summer to relax and play. Friday morning was spent outside playing with our new toy-a red Power Wheels Jeep! It was handed down to us by our neighbor and we waited to try it until Stephen got home. Michael cruised all over the cul-de-sac and backyard! We also bought some sparklers and Michael got to hold his own this time!

That evening, we met our friends Brian, Cammie and their daughter Brinsley at the Germantown Family Fourth Celebration. We jumped in the bouncy thing, ate Popsicles, danced to the live band and watched fireworks. It was a late night, but everyone had a good time and the kiddos slept all the way home!

Nothing Sweeter!

Is there anything sweeter than hearing your children laugh?

My little monkey's

I pulled the guest room bed in from the garage to set up in Savannah's room, and they went crazy jumping on it while it was still on the floor. I love the part where they both lie down and actually look like they like eachother! This all takes place moments before Michael bangs against the wall, knocking everything off a shelf, sending it crashing onto the floor and scaring Savannah so badly that she falls backwards off the bed! Never a boring minute here...

Crayons

I think Savannah enjoyed trying to eat the crayons more that she did the actual coloring! The first video you can hear Michael talk a lot, telling me what he has colored and in the second video you get to see what happens when a crayon breaks! Despite his best efforts, Michael cannot fuse a crayon back together!

Lovey & Pops' Pool

Little Michael loved this game-collect all the splash balls and assault Michael and Matthew! They played into it SO well, flopping back as though they had been hit each time. Love to hear his sinister little laugh if you turn the volume up!

Car Wash

New game: fill a dish pan with soapy water, add sponges and cars=lots of sudsy fun!
This has kept them occupied for an hour or two for the past two days...I can't ask more anything more!

I love the way he moves her aside and throws things at her. Isn't he just the sweetest big brother...and better yet how sweetly she deals with it!

Placemats!

Just got my new laminator and made my first round of placemats and put them on the website! Michael LOVES his placemat and is already trying to learn the letters in his name while he eats...so excited about these and hopefully everyone will think they are a cool gift idea!

The Ducks

We found a new park nearby and besides having a fun new playground, they have a pond with ducks and turtles! I found a bag of goldfish crackers in my bag and decided they would have to serve as duck food. Next time we will have to take a lot more to feed them!
